Marlene’s cowgirl life has been filled with many gentle, ‘honest’ geldings equipped with the gears of a Ferrari. Those glorious feelings of comfort and excitement while riding them has become her personal definition of luxury, invigorating her clients to define theirs. Marlene believes that your personal style should not be in the latest magazine, because it is yet to be discovered!

Marlene Holmquist, ASID, is an accomplished artist, interior designer & lifelong equestrian from a 5th generation ranching family in Southern California. Performing in rodeos for 20 years, and participating in Reining and Reined Cow Horse events expanded her love of horses. Since 1990, she has been the owner of her interior design firm, uniquely punctuated by her expertise in graphic design, art and illustration, and product design. She earned a BFA in Illustration from the world renowned Art Center College of Design in Pasadena,CA, is a professional member of The American Society of Interior Designers, and a member of The National Kitchen & Bath Association.

Marlene’s gelding Casper, whom she describes as her “Horse of a Lifetime”, became the inspiration for her unique Art Furnishings. She designs ‘Contemporary Western’ furnishings, accessories and jewelry inspired by her ranch life and her horses.
